A platform for international music from Ireland

Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival announced a partnership with Culture Ireland, who will support several Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival 2022 events in this year’s festival. Artist to Artist Talk Series 2020

Artist to Artist talks invite musicians to participate in unmoderated discussions and discover what binds them together.

This series was created in partnership with SPARC, City University London, and the Centre For Research in New Music at Huddersfield University. It produced three fascinating talks between musicians at different stages in their careers. We are delighted to be sharing new episodes from the series, which were recorded this year. More will follow.

Talks we host for Artist to Artist are not planned or structured. We don’t have any hosts, questions, or themes. Instead, we ask our artists to play a little and discuss similarities and differences in their music. And to learn as much about each other as possible.

Below is an archive of all six talks from the series. We are sharing three talks that were recorded for Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival 2020. Keep checking back for more information from the Artist To Artist archive.
