Storytelling from Around the World
Time: 3-5:30 PM
Location: Walker Pavilion
About our emcee:
Storyteller Jim Pfitzer prefers paddling a canoe to driving a car, and watching birds to watching television—values that are evident in his original stories. Whether recalling efforts to raise an owl in his bedroom, sharing closes encounters with black bears, or pondering the essence of sweet tea, Jim takes his listeners for a ride they don’t want to end. Of Jim’s CD, The Way I Remember It, Singout! Magazine says “All the elements of childhood are here,” while the Chattanooga Times Free Press says that “Jim Pfitzer's smooth voice and captivating style keeps his listeners attentive to each word…” Jim is available for school performances and residencies, workshops, festivals and special events.
